Michael A. Jones - President
Mike Jones serves as the president of Columbia Management, Bank of America’s asset management division and one of the world’s leading money managers. Columbia Management manufactures and distributes an array of proprietary equity, fixed-income and money market investment products to individual and institutional clients around the world. Previously, Mr. Jones served as head of distribution for Columbia Management. In this role, he was responsible for global institutional and intermediary distribution. He joined Columbia Management in November 2006 and has been a member of the investment community since 1982. Previously, Mr. Jones was co-president and senior managing director at Robeco Investment Management. During his tenure, he was responsible for directing the organization’s sales, marketing, relationship management and product development efforts. He also served as a member of the organization’s management committee and was chairman of the product review committee. Prior to working at Robeco, Mr. Jones was chief operating officer at Boston Partners Asset Management, L.P. from 1995 to 2002. Earlier in his career, he held various roles with The Boston Company Asset Management for 13 years. Mr. Jones earned a B.A. degree in history from Colgate University. Francine Asselta - Managing Director, Taft-Hartley Sales and Client Services
Francine Asselta is the managing director of the Taft-Hartley sales and client service segment of the institutional group at Columbia Management. Ms. Asselta joined FleetBoston Financial (a predecessor organization) in 1996 as a senior vice president to head its Retirement Plan Services Group for the Metro New York and New Jersey area. Her responsibilities included management of the client service staff responsible for corporate and Taft-Hartley employee benefit plans as well as not-for-profit endowments. Ms. Asselta has been a member of the investment community since 1978. Prior to joining Columbia Management, Ms. Asselta was a vice president at NatWest and a trust officer at National Bank of North America. Ms. Asselta’s professional memberships include the New Jersey Bankers Association Employee Benefits Committee, the American Institute of Banking and the New Jersey Alliance for Action. Toby Cromwell - Managing Director and Head of Global Consultant Relations
Toby Cromwell is managing director and head of global consultant relations at Columbia Management. He is responsible for managing a team of professionals dedicated to enhancing the firm’s relationships with institutional investment consultants. Mr. Cromwell joined Columbia Management in 2007 and has been a member of the investment community since 1986. Prior to joining Columbia Mangement, he was director of institutional marketing and consultant relations at Ashfield Capital Partners, LLC. He also held positions including principal of Robeco Investment Management’s Consultant Relations and Business Development team; partner and head of institutional markets for sales, marketing and client service for Transamerica Investment Management, LLC; and partner and vice president of institutional sales with a focus on defined benefit and defined contribution clients for Invesco Institutional Group. Mr. Cromwell started his career as a registered investment advisor selling investment products to high-net-worth individuals. Mr. Cromwell earned his B.S. degree in economics and his M.B.A. degree from Colorado State University. He holds his series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses. Matt DiGennaro - Managing Director and Head of International Sales
Matt DiGennaro is a managing director and is currently the head of international sales for Columbia Management. Mr. DiGennaro’s institutional client base has included and international commercial banks, central banks, money managers, pension funds, corporations and not-for-profit entities. He joined Bank of America in 1997 and has been a member of the banking and investment community since 1989. During his career Mr. DiGennaro has worked as an internal auditor, financial analyst and fixed-income trader, as well as an institutional fixed-income and asset management sales professional. Amanda Grant - Managing Director and Head of Institutional Client Service
Amanda Grant is the managing director and head of institutional client service at Columbia Management. Ms. Grant joined Columbia Management in 2007 and has been a member of the investment community since 1987. Prior to working at Columbia Management, Ms. Grant was head of Global Relationship Management at Babson Capital Management, a global capital management firm. Previously, she was a founding partner of Curant Associates, a client service consulting firm dedicated to providing investment management organizations with customized client service solutions. She was also senior vice president and manager of institutional client relations at Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management, presently UBS Global Asset Management. Prior to that, Ms. Grant was a vice president and institutional relationship manager at Oppenheimer Capital. Ms. Grant earned her B.A. in English literature from Pace University and her M.A. in English literature from Hunter College, City University of New York. She has her series 7, series 63 and series 24. Robert McConnaughey - Head of Equity
Robert McConnaughey is the head of equity for Columbia Management. Mr. McConnaughey joined Columbia Management in 2002 as director of fundamental equity research and has been a member of the investment community since 1993. Prior to joining Columbia Management, Mr. McConnaughey served as the associate director of research for Citigroup Global Asset Management, overseeing growth industry equity research analysis worldwide. Previously, he was a managing director of Prudential’s Real Estate Securities Group, where he directed research and portfolio management of retail and institutional assets. Mr. McConnaughey began his career in investment management at Fidelity Management & Research, where he was an analyst and portfolio manager. Chuck McQuaid is the chief investment officer of Columbia Wanger Asset Management, L.P. and president of the Columbia Acorn Trust Board of Trustees. Mr. McQuaid has been a member of the investment community since 1978. Mr. McQuaid earned a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Chicago. Colin Moore, AIIMR - Chief Investment Officer
Colin Moore is the chief investment officer for Columbia Management. His responsibilities include ensuring that a disciplined investment process is in place across all asset classes, including equity, fixed income and cash. He is also responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of Columbia Management’s proprietary alternative investment product offering, a key component of the company’s long-term growth strategy. Mr. Moore joined Columbia Management in 2002 as head of equity and has been a member of the investment community since 1983. Prior to joining Columbia Management, Mr. Moore was chief investment officer of global and international value equities and associate director of research at Putnam Investments. While serving in this role, he personally managed $3 billion in addition to overseeing a team of 29 analysts and five portfolio managers. Previously, Mr. Moore was director of research and chief investment officer for Rockefeller & Co. in New York and London. Throughout his career in the investment industry, he has held portfolio management positions with three London-based asset management firms, as well as a role in product development. Mr. Moore attended the London Business School where he completed their Investment Management Program and he is an associate by examination of the Institute of Investment Management and Research. Stephen C. Peacher, CFA - Head of Fixed Income
Stephen Peacher is the head of fixed income for Columbia Management. Mr. Peacher oversees a team of investment professionals who manage long-term taxable and tax-exempt investments. He joined Columbia Management in 2005 and has been a member of the investment community since 1986. Prior to joining Columbia Management, Mr. Peacher held several roles at Putnam Investments, including lead high-yield portfolio manager, overseeing $10 billion in assets. He served in previous roles including senior vice president, high-yield analyst and director of global credit research. Before leaving Putnam, Mr. Peacher was managing director and chief investment officer of the credit team. He began his investment career at Dean Witter Reynolds in the investment banking division. Michael Pelzar - Managing Director, Head of Product Management
Michael Pelzar is managing director and head of product management at Columbia Management. Mr. Pelzar’s team supports the continued expansion and acceleration of product development and delivery, partnering closely with the institutional, intermediary and retail distribution groups and the investment area. Mr. Pelzar joined Bank of America in 2006 and has been a member of the investment community since 1990. Prior to his current role at Columbia Management, Mr. Pelzar was head of business development and mergers and acquisitions for Global Wealth & Investment Management at Bank of America. Prior to joining Bank of America, he was managing director and partner at a boutique investment bank, where he specialized in financial services. Previously, Mr. Pelzar served in the corporate development and product marketing groups at Putnam Investments. He spent several years with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in a variety of roles in the firm’s money market and investment banking divisions in New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Jeffrey F. Peters - Managing Director and Head of Global Institutional Distribution
Jeff Peters is managing director and head of global institutional distribution at Columbia Management. Prior to joining Columbia Management, Mr. Peters was senior managing director and head of international business at Putnam Investments. He also served as chief operating officer of international business and managing director of corporate development. Mr. Peters started his career with McKinsey & Company as a business analyst and had a 10-year career that led to the role of principal. Paul T. Quistberg, CPA, CFA - Head of Cash Investments
Paul Quistberg is head of cash investments for Columbia Management. In this role, he is responsible for the cash investments team, including oversight of a team of portfolio managers, credit analysts, and business operations professionals. Mr. Quistberg has a strong background as a credit analyst and manager of research, as well as deep management expertise and broad operating experience across both fixed income and cash platforms. Mr. Quistberg joined Columbia Management in 2008 and has been a member of the investment community since 1990. Mr. Quistberg held several roles at Putnam Investments before joining Columbia Management. Most recently, he was chief operating officer of the fixed income division where he oversaw a variety of investment, operating and distribution activities, including oversight of the money market operation. Previously, he was director of credit research where he was responsible for directing fundamental research and relative value process across the high yield, investment grade, money market and stable value investment areas. He also worked for five years as a credit analyst for The Travelers Insurance Group, and four years as an audit manager at KPMG Peat Marwick. Mr. Quistberg earned his B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut and his M.B.A. in finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He also holds Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations. In addition, he is a member of the CFA society, a board member of the Posse Foundation (Boston) and a past board member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s asset management group. Christopher L. Wilson - Head of Mutual Funds and Product Management; President, Columbia Funds, Inc.
Chris Wilson is head of mutual funds for Columbia Management, responsible for the day-to-day delivery of mutual fund products and services to the firm's investors. With the exception of distribution, Mr. Wilson oversees all aspects of the mutual fund services operation including treasury, investment accounting, shareholder and broker services; and product development. Mr. Wilson serves as Columbia Management's chief liaison to the mutual fund boards of trustees. He joined Columbia Management in 2004 and has been a member of the investment community since 1980. Additionally, Mr. Wilson holds the following positions with the firm: president of the Columbia Funds; director of Bank of America Global Liquidity Funds, plc; director of Banc of America Capital Management (Ireland), Limited; director, FIM Funding, Inc.; senior vice president, Columbia Management Distributors, Inc.; director, Columbia Management Services, Inc. and senior vice president, Columbia Management Advisors, LLC. Prior to joining Columbia Management, Mr. Wilson was the president and chief executive officer of CDC IXIS Asset Management Services, Inc., formerly known as NVEST, LP, which provides investment management infrastructure services to holding company affiliates. Before joining NVEST, Mr. Wilson worked for nine years at Scudder, Stevens & Clark, where he held such roles as director of operations for the Scudder Funds, director of acquisition and service enhancement and national director of investor relations. He started his career in 1980 at Fidelity. Mr. Wilson received a B.A. from Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Illinois. Mr. Wilson is a member of the Board of Governors for the Investment Company Institute and vice chair and treasurer of the Board at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
